Vintage Grocery Store
This was one of the first
miniature
buildings I worked on. It
was a Carelton kit. I remember
thinking at the time that
I was glad it was so small
because
it is surprising how long
it can take to fill a grocery
store. I learned a lot about the
turn of the century by working
on this project. I really enjoyed
figuring out how to make all
of the fruits and veggies. I upgraded
it as I discovered wonderful
Farrow vintage labels and jars.
The cockatiels I had at the
time used to pick out the fruit
drop them on the floor, the
looked like they were shopping.
I made the apothecary jars
from
the center of old
Christmas lights.
