My Favourite Things

To the tune from the "Sound of Music"

New paper punches and paper with flocking.
Gel pens and felt pens and pens for embossing.
Bundles of siding tied up with string,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Dress kits and doll parts and fine silk and sashes,
Door frames and chimneys and windows with glasses,
Bow makers, bead parts and dollhouse with wings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

When the lights dim,
When the paint cracks,
When the wiring gores bad,
I simply remember my favourite things,
And then I don’t feel so bad.

Teapots and china, and wee dolls in poses,
Plant pots or Ocelots or bouquets with roses,
Micro and quarterscale and miniature things,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Back pains, and sore butts and hours on the putter,
Cramped hands and sore eyes and starting to mutter,
And we won’t mention our tea on the keyboard,
When we remember our favourite things.

When the paper jams and the printables stuck
When the wallpaper wrinkled,
Then I remember the Miniatures I’ve loved,
And then I don’t feel so bad.
